About Our YPD

The Young People's and Children’s Division (YPD) of Bethel AME Church is a vibrant ministry dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth, leadership, and service of our youth. We provide opportunities for children and young adults to deepen their faith, develop their gifts, and engage in meaningful service within the church and community. Rooted in the traditions of the African Methodist Episcopal Church and aligned with the Connectional YPD, we strive to inspire our young people to live boldly for Christ and make a lasting impact through their faith in action.

As part of the Connectional YPD, we are committed to developing Christ-centered leaders who are young, bold, and committed to transforming their church, community, and world through love and service.

believers who walk in purpose, lead with courage, and embody the teachings of Christ in all they do. Guided by 1 Timothy 4:12, we envision youth who are examples of faith in action — shining as leaders who uplift others, honor God, and carry forward the legacy of the African Methodist Episcopal Church with integrity and passion.
